AI and HPC Infrastructure at UQ in the next 12 to 24 months

Speaker: Jake Carroll, Chief Technical Officer of UQ RCC

Abstract: AI/ML hardware and infrastructure is advancing almost as quickly as the models and research that runs on top of it. UQ is in a fortunate position right now, as we are able to keep pace with current GPU technologies, providing them to UQ researchers as they become available. This talk will provide an inside view of what AI/ML/DL infrastructure UQ RCC has available right now and an early view of what is coming next. It will also be an opportunity for the community to provide input into what it would like to see next in AI infrastructure at UQ.
