The University of Queensland’s Australasian Transformer Innovation Centre (TIC) is pleased to announce a one-day face-to-face CPD course in Brisbane focusing on Transformer Specifications and the specification of oils used therein.

This course will provide the background information necessary along with practical experience from industry experts to understand the specifications of transformers and of the oils used therein. This course is geared to procurement, asset strategies, operations and maintenance managers and engineers in generation, transmission and distribution, renewables manufacturing mining industrial and infrastructure organization.

This one-day face-to-face course will bring industry professionals together for dialogue and sharing of knowledge to better understand the specification of transformers and the oils used for application in a modern power system.

Key outcomes

  • Understand the basic principles used in transformer specifications as well as the specifications of oils used.
  • Be exposed to the experience of transformer users, such as power Utilities, when dealing with Transformer and oil specifications.
  • Develop and appreciation for the ever-changing specification of transformers and their oils in the face of increasing renewable generation.

The Australasian Transformer Innovation Centre (TIC) will deliver several webinars and CPD courses. Our Continuing Professional Development courses are designed to fill the training gaps for personnel working in electrical utilities, generation, renewables, mining oil and gas, manufacturers, and service staff.
