Abstract:
Reconstructing articulated structures from sparse real-world views with physical consistency remains challenging. This thesis proposes to investigate how physics-grounded priors can be integrated into 3D Gaussian Splatting to improve the fidelity of dynamic scene reconstruction for articulated manipulation, addressing gaps in kinematics consistency, kinetics consistency, and sim-to-real evaluation.
Biography: Longpeng Xu is a PhD student in the School of EECS at The University of Queensland, supervised by Dr. Priyanka Singh and Prof. Xue Li.
