As Manager of the EECS Executive Coordination, Operations and Research Administration function, I provide strategic leadership across the School's operational, administrative, infrastructure and engagement portfolios. I lead a multidisciplinary team that enables the effective delivery of teaching, research and professional activities, ensuring the School's people, resources, facilities and processes support current priorities and future growth.

Key Areas of Responsibility

Strategic Leadership and Operations

  • Provide strategic leadership and operational oversight across the School's administrative and research support functions.
  • Lead and develop a high-performing professional services team, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation and continuous improvement.
  • Drive operational planning and service delivery to support the School's strategic objectives and performance outcomes.
  • Advise senior leadership on operational priorities, risks, opportunities and resource requirements.

Infrastructure, Space and Asset Management

  • Lead the strategic planning, management and optimisation of the School's physical infrastructure, facilities and workplace environments.
  • Oversee space planning, accommodation strategies and infrastructure projects to support organisational growth, research expansion and evolving workforce needs.
  • Manage infrastructure-related investment, maintenance and renewal activities to ensure facilities remain safe, functional and fit for purpose.
  • Partner with University stakeholders to deliver infrastructure solutions that enhance productivity, research capability and operational efficiency.

People, Health, Safety and Wellbeing

  • Champion a positive, inclusive and high-performing workplace culture.
  • Provide leadership in workplace health, safety and wellbeing, ensuring compliance with legislative and University requirements.
  • Support workforce planning, capability development and initiatives that enhance staff engagement and wellbeing.

Stakeholder Engagement and Communications

  • Build effective relationships with academic and professional stakeholders across the University and external partner network.
  • Lead strategic communications and engagement initiatives that strengthen the School's profile, connectivity and impact.
  • Oversee the delivery of events, outreach activities and communication channels that support community engagement, research visibility and organisational objectives.
