Dr Sasan Ahdi Rezaeieh

Researcher biography
Dr Sasan Ahdi Rezaeieh is a Senior Lecturer (Associate Professor) in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at The University of Queensland. His research focuses on the design of microwave sensors and electromagnetic systems, with applications across healthcare, sensing, and communications. He leads multiple interdisciplinary projects that translate electromagnetic theory into practical technologies for real-world impact.

• Portable electromagnetic scanners for detection and monitoring of liver steatosis and fibrosis
• Multi-mode and reconfigurable antennas for enhanced situational awareness
• Non-destructive testing systems for industrial and infrastructure monitoring

Dr Rezaeieh has secured more than AUD 3 million in competitive research funding as Lead or Second Chief Investigator.
