We bring together traditional engineering signals and image processing with modern artificial intelligence to innovate in communications engineering, industrial sensing, and biomedical/healthcare applications. Underlying all our projects is a commitment to creating transparent AI engineering solutions and ensuring our methods are robust, interpretable, and ready for real-world challenges. Project themes include:

  •  Electromagnetic imaging with physics-guided AI enhanced sensing where we design industrial sensing systems in collaboration with industry partners; 
  • Modelling of biomedical and multi-modal signals with physiology-guided AI where we aim to address critical healthcare and societal challenges by developing innovative solutions with direct clinical relevance.
