Many students from the School of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, both undergraduate and postgraduate, will undertake an individual capstone thesis course in the final year of their program (degree).

The following pages will help you navigate the thesis process.

6. Workplace health and safety

The School of EECS takes its obligations to workplace health and safety very seriously. Workplace health and safety is everybody's responsibility - both the School's and the students'. The School has worked to ensure that workplace health and safety processes are effective and that assessments are kept up-to-date. Students must take the time to familiarise themselves with these procedures and assessments.

Before entering any EECS lab, students must read the student edition of 'OH&S in the Laboratory' and complete the Safety Declaration Form. In addition, students must complete the 'Student OH&S Induction' on Blackboard which can be found by clicking on the 'Welcome' tab where it will be under the heading 'Training Courses'.

Other relevant information can be found on the workplace health and safety School page with further links to the Risk Management Database and information on Electrical Safety.

Students, please ensure that you are an active participant in a safe learning environment by reading the information referred to above and completing the OH&S Induction and Safety Declaration Form as appropriate.
