Design research and methods
The practice of design is continually evolving.
There is no single, stepwise model for best practice—design processes must always be tailored to the people and contexts to be served by new technologies and systems.
Because of this, our research involves the development and evaluation of new methods for doing design, for involving other stakeholders in design, and for studying collaborative design activities in detail. In this respect, we engage in every new project in order to learn more about the nature of design practices and skills, and we experiment with our own methods and approaches to support and transform design practice.
